Grappa “La Brada”
Grappa of Chianti
“La Brada” is the Chianti grappa obtained from the fermentation and pressing of the skins of the Bradi Toscani grapes.
Colorless and crystalline liquid, distilled with the discontinuous still method, it is persistent and soft on the palate from the scent of berries mixed with floral notes of wisteria and lilac.
Served exclusively in a tulip glass, which allows the aromas to reach our nostrils without being dominated by alcoholic notes.
What can you match? Well, as we say: “better alone than badly accompanied”, then “naked and without ice” (ice could cover the aromas and scents of grappa), or pay attention to the companion you choose for this grappa. There are those who have dared to combine it with a good lard , in this case the lard of the pigs of the Bradi Toscani’s Cinta Senese breed will be perfect, but it can also go with our aged cheeses, otherwise the perfect match is the strong personality of dark chocolate. This product was also used in ancient times as a dental anesthetic: who has not had a grandfather or grandmother who at the first: “grandma, my tooth hurts!”, promptly solved the problem with a good drop of grappa?
One thing is certain: “alone” or “in good company” it does not take haste to enjoy a grappa, it should be enjoyed slowly, perhaps in front of the warmth of a fire that burns during a cold winter evening or in front of a sunset over the sea at the end of summer.
