Its production is closely linked to the philosophy of respect for the land and climate, fundamental elements that influence the growth and development of the grapes.
Oenologists and experienced winemakers devote special attention and care to choosing the perfect vintage, characterized by optimal climatic conditions. Only when nature offers the most suitable and favorable conditions is a new production of Jeccardo Rosso given birth.
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese
Vinification: traditional method medium-long maceration on the skins with frequent pumping over during the tumultuous phase with punching down for the purpose of breaking and spraying the cap for greater extraction from the skins. All with manual processing
Aging: eight months of aging in wood in 30hl Slavonian oak. At the end of this tannic rounding step, the mass returns to steel for two years with half-yearly racking following lunar phases and solar pressures in order to achieve great tertiaries with a shoulder still of total youth. This selection of red is released after five years at the same time as the Brunello of the same vintage
Bottle aging : longer than six months.
Color : ruby red
Olfactory/taste : a wine of great complexity and personality. It shows an intense color, bright reflections and an aromatic bouquet expressing fruity, floral and spicy notes. In the mouth it reveals a harmonious balance between acidity, soft tannins and aromatic persistence.
